Powercor, Echuca – Outdoor Racking Solution for New Facility

The Need

Following the transition into their newly built Echuca depot, the Powercor team required a robust outdoor storage solution capable of supporting their operational equipment, both now and as future requirements evolve.

The new two hectare depot was designed to provide expanded capacity for materials and vehicles, improved storage for network materials, and better traffic flow, standards which the prior site could not meet.

Having partnered with All Storage Systems previously, the team engaged us once again to deliver a compliant, fit for purpose outdoor storage solution that aligns with the broader depot redevelopment.

The Solution

After an initial conversation with Tyler, Marcus conducted a comprehensive site visit to assess the outdoor environment and clarify the specific operational and compliance needs. Given the external location and the requirement to meet Australian safety standards, galvanised pallet racking was recommended for long term durability and performance.

The proposed configuration included multiple runs of galvanised Maxspan Pallet Racking with mesh decks and mesh dividers, designed to suit the robustness, volume, and accessibility demands of Powercor’s equipment and materials storage needs.

Once the design was approved, our installation team executed the project efficiently and in full accordance with Australian Standards, ensuring a safe, compliant, and streamlined workspace for the Powercor team.

The Outcome

The completed installation has delivered the outdoor storage capacity and structural resilience Powercor required. The new racking supports improved organisation, accessibility and storage of network materials, aligning with the broader goals of the new depot’s expanded storage capacity and enhanced materials management.
