Brown Brothers Winery – Drive In Racking Installation

Need

Brown Brothers Winery, a renowned family owned producer based in Milawa and part of the Brown Family Wine Group, needed a safe and efficient storage solution for cardboard pallets used in their packaging production room. With limited space available, Logistics Manager Simon turned to Karl the Warehouse Safety Consultant at All Storage Systems to design a setup that would maximise capacity without compromising safety or workflow.

Solution

Karl met Simon on site to assess the layout and understand the production demands. To make best use of the tight footprint and withstand the pace of daily operations, second hand drive in pallet racking was recommended as the ideal option for their budget.

The system included:

1 run of 15 lanes – 3 pallets deep and 4 high
1 run of 8 lanes – 3 pallets deep and 4 high

This configuration now allows safe, organised storage for up to 270 pallets. From first contact in March to installation in May, the project was completed quickly and with minimal disruption to production.

Outcome

The drive-in racking has significantly improved safety and efficiency in the packing room. Simon and the Brown Brothers team are thrilled with the results, noting smoother operations and better use of space.
